Fan Content Guidelines
Zooyale would not exist without the players who stream it, record it, draw it and write about it. These guidelines exist so you can create freely while keeping things safe for you, for other players, and for PF Games.
1. The short version
- Streaming, recording, screenshots, fan art, fan fiction are allowed for personal, non-commercial use without asking.
- Credit Zooyale / PF Games where it's reasonable to do so.
- Don't pretend you're affiliated with us, employed by us, or making an official Zooyale product.
- Don't monetize PF Games-owned assets (logos, characters, audio, marketing renders) on their own — your own creative work on top of the game is fine.
- Don't show or share cheats, exploits, or illegal modifications.
2. What you can do freely
2.1. Gameplay videos and streams
Live streams, VODs, recorded matches, montages, tutorials, guides, reviews, lore breakdowns, balance commentary — all permitted on any public platform (YouTube, Twitch, Kick, TikTok, Bilibili, etc.). You may run platform-standard monetization (ads, channel memberships, Twitch subs, Super Chats, sponsorship reads), provided the sponsor is not a competing game studio claiming an official Zooyale partnership.
2.2. Screenshots, GIFs, clips
Capture and share screenshots, animated GIFs and short clips on social media or news sites. You don't need to ask first. Credit is appreciated but not required.
2.3. Fan art, fan animations, cosplay, fan fiction
Drawings, paintings, sculptures, 3D renders, fan animations, cosplay photoshoots, prose and poetry inspired by Zooyale characters, mutant forms, locations, or storyline are permitted. You may sell prints, commissions, cosplay outfits or your own original story in limited quantities so long as you, not PF Games' assets, are the main creative contribution. Direct asset rips of our marketing renders or in-game models put on a t-shirt do not qualify.
2.4. Mods, tools, community projects
Match trackers, leaderboards, statistics dashboards, build planners, community wikis, Discord bots and similar projects are welcome. We do not provide a modding SDK and reverse-engineering the client is not permitted (see Terms of Service §6.1).
3. What you need permission for
- Selling physical merchandise that primarily reproduces PF Games artwork (e.g., a print of the official key art, a plush of an unmodified character render).
- Commercial use of the Zooyale name or logo in product names, company names, domain names, or app titles.
- Sponsorships, brand integrations or marketing campaigns that imply an official relationship with PF Games.
- Crowdfunding (Kickstarter, Patreon tier rewards, etc.) where the reward is PF Games-owned content.
- Using Zooyale in event marketing, esports tournaments with prize pools, or paid community events at scale.
For any of the above, write to info@pfgames.io with the project details. We try to respond within two weeks.
4. What's not allowed
- Anything that violates the Terms of Service — cheats, exploits, RMT, account boosting, hate speech, content that sexualizes or harms minors.
- Misrepresenting your content as official PF Games communication ("Official Zooyale Patch Notes", fake roadmaps, fake job postings, fake giveaways).
- Reposting unreleased / leaked content from playtests under NDA.
- NFT collections, blockchain integrations or crypto tokens based on Zooyale assets.
- Reuploading Zooyale soundtrack tracks as music releases (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) without a written license.
- Using Zooyale assets to promote political campaigns, gambling services, or adult content.
5. Trademarks and logos
"Zooyale", "PF Games", the Zooyale logomark and the character names (Grapnel, Aegis, Vynk, Hexa) are PF Games trademarks. You may use them descriptively ("a guide for Zooyale", "playing as Grapnel") but not as your own brand identity.
Press, partners and tournament organizers can download approved logo files from the Press Kit.
6. Streamer / creator support
We don't run a paid creator program. If we open one in the future, the application page will be linked here. We do hand out occasional beta access, build keys and event invites to creators who are consistently making Zooyale content — reach out to info@pfgames.io with channel links so we can follow your work.
7. Reporting a violation
If you see fan content that crosses the lines above — fake official accounts, leaked builds, harmful content involving minors, NFT scams using Zooyale art — please report it to info@pfgames.io with a link and a short description. We take action on confirmed reports within five business days.
8. Changes to these guidelines
These guidelines may evolve as the game grows. The current version is always at zooyale.com/fan-content. Material changes will be announced through the news page and existing creators will be given a reasonable transition window.
These guidelines do not override the Zooyale Terms of Service or Privacy Policy. Where there is a conflict, the Terms of Service prevails.
