Patch Notes — Camera Polish, Minimap, and Gamepad Support

June 20, 2026 · Playfinity Games Team

Not every update needs its own devlog — some just make the game feel better to hold. Here’s what shipped recently.

Cinematic death camera

Dying used to snap your camera straight to whoever killed you. Now it lingers on your own character for a beat first, then eases into a slow pan toward your killer — or, if there’s no clear killer (gas, environmental damage), toward a random player still standing. It’s a small change that makes eliminations read as moments instead of a jump-cut.

Minimap rework

The minimap is now a lightweight, pooled marker system layered over a static map sprite — Transformation Stations pulse the moment they go ready, and teammate markers stay clamped and readable at the edges of the screen instead of disappearing.

Full gamepad support

Xbox controllers are in: twin-stick aim and fire, triggers for your abilities, bumpers to swap weapons or mutate, and a D-pad to cycle collected Mutant Kits. Every hit now lands with directional haptic rumble too, on phone and controller alike, so you can feel where damage is coming from.

Daily rewards, reworked

Non-milestone daily rewards no longer hand out flat XP — every day now grants coins and gems that scale up the further into the month you go. Milestone days (every 7th) are unchanged.

What’s next

These are the kind of changes we’ll keep shipping quietly between the bigger devlogs — if something feels smoother, it’s probably one of these.
